Penang International Airport (PEN) is situated just under 16 km from the city centre. It welcomes over three million travellers a year. You can take a bus to Penang International Airport from the city centre of Georgetown. The bus is designated as 401E and it takes about 45 minutes each way. The buses in Penang are clean and well maintained and run regularly. There is no train to Penang International Airport. You can, however, take a taxi to Penang International Airport. They are reliable and reasonable and provide extra cargo space if it is needed. Some hotels in Penang also offer minibus or shuttle bus services.
