Kuching International Airport (KCH) serves the entire south west region of Sarawak besides Kuching city. The airport is located to the south of Kuching city centre and is about 11 km away. It is the fourth busiest airport in Malaysia and is growing rapidly both in terms of passenger and aircraft movement. Kuching International Airport is one of the most modern airports in all of Malaysia with its design similar to the Kuala Lumpur airport.

Airport Transportation in Kuching

If you take a taxi to Kuching International Airport from the city, the journey is about 20 minutes long. It is best to take a fixed fare taxi. You can also catch a mini bus to Kuching International Airport from the city which drops you about 1 km west of the Airport. These buses run to the airport intersection from the main bus terminal located in the city. However public buses are not very reliable in Kuching. There is no train to Kuching International Airport.
