As Nepal is a small country Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) is its only international airport. It is located 3 miles from the city centre of Kathmandu. It offers snack shops and various shopping opportunities including a souvenir shop. There is also a convenient currency exchange and post office facilities. The duty-free shop is located on the first floor as is a business class lounge. Be sure to sit on the left hand side of the plane near the window on your way out of Kathmandu. Airport Transportation in Kathmandu

There is a regularly scheduled bus to Tribhuvan International Airport from the city centre of Kathmandu that runs daily from dawn to dusk, but not during the night. If money is not a concern you could always take a taxi to Tribhuvan International Airport as there are always plenty around the city willing to take you there. There is no train to Tribhuvan International Airport.
