Major Airports in Johor

Johor is served exclusively by Senai International Airport (JHB), formerly known as Sultan Ismail International Airport. Built in 1974, Senai International Airport was purchased in 2003 by Senai Airport Terminal Services, the first independent airport operator in Malaysia. Since then, the airport has undergone several radical expansions and improvements, including the opening of a stand-alone airport mall, opened in 2010.

Airport Transportation in Johor

Senai International Airport is located approximately 35 km outside of Johor. Travellers can catch a bus to Senai International Airport from the Larkin Bus & Taxi Terminal, which is only 5 km from the city centre. A taxi to Senai International Airport can also be hailed from the same terminal. There is currently no train to Senai International Airport. Travellers are advised to plan for at least an hour of travel time.
