Major Airports in Chennai

Chennai International Airport (MAA) handles over 18,000 passengers a day. It is one of the busiest airports in India, handling both passengers and cargo. The airport is located approximately 19 km from the city and is well equipped with mobile phone charging stations, duty-free shops, lounges and ATMs. There are three terminals and approximately 100 check-in points at various locations. You can take a train to Chennai International Airport. Tirusulam Station is opposite the airport and trains run between here and Park Station in the city centre. A bus to Chennai International Airport is also available from Main Road; buses from Pallavam, Tambararn and Parry’s Corner will take you to the airport. A private taxi to Chennai International Airport can be accessed from the pre-paid counters at various prominent places in the city. There are also good parking facilities and car rental available on site.
