The Cairns International Airport (CNS) is the seventh busiest airport in Australia handling direct flights to 20 international and 44 domestic destinations. The airport is located just 7km north of Cairns in Aeroglen and has two separate terminals for domestic and international passengers. There is no train to Cairns International Airport as it is located just ten minutes away from the city centre. The drive from South of Trinity Beach to Cairns airport takes 25 minutes and from South of Palm Cove it takes 35 minutes. If you take a shuttle bus to Cairns International Airport from Port Douglas, the journey time is more than an hour but if you take a taxi or a rented car, you will reach it in under an hour. If there are more than two passengers it is cheaper to take a taxi to Cairns International Airport.
