It is a recently opened modern airport, but due to the growing tourist interest in the area, there are already plans for a new extension. Currently, it has a single terminal for four planes, so it is very easy to move around its facilities.

Taking the bus to Bangaluru International Airport is the most economical alternative. There are 11 lines that provide 24-hour service and pass through every 15 or 30 minutes. If you are in a hurry or are travelling with lots of luggage, you can always take a taxi to Bangaluru International Airport. The option to share a taxi is usually available and will allow you to save money.

Although not currently available, there are plans underway for a train to Bangaluru International Airport that would depart from the city and provide a much faster journey.
