Ballina Byron Gateway Airport (BNK) is located 5 km from the city centre. The airport serves both Ballina and the quite popular Byron Bay, which is situated nearby to the north. Although it is a largely domestic airport with limited air traffic in general, it has all the necessary services you have come to expect as a traveller.

Airport Transportation in Ballina

If you’re not in a hurry, the most economical option is take a bus to Ballina Byron Gateway Airport. The 640 line connects the airport with Ballina, Lennoz Head, Byron Bay and Mullumbimby and makes stops every 45 to 90 minutes depending on the time of day.
