Major Airports in Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX) handles both domestic and international flights for the city. This airport is close to the city, well-connected to Bangkok and is the major gateway to northern Thailand. It houses both domestic and international terminals in the same building.

Airport Transportation in Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai International Airport is just 3km from the city centre. A taxi to Chiang Mai International Airport can be hired from anywhere in the city and will drop you at the north end of the terminal. Even limousines are available for hire to reach the airport and both these options take the Super-Highway and Chiang Mai-Hod Road. Alternatively, you can take a bus to Chiang Mai International Airport from the city centre. The airport authority do not allow public transportation to enter without passengers.

The various transportation service counters are located on the first floor of the terminal opposite the arrival lounge. There is no train to Chiang Mai International Airport from the city.
