Khartoum International Airport (KRT) is the main airport for the city of Khartoum and the only gateway to Sudan if you intend to travel by air. The airport receives flights from several international airlines in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Airport Transportation in Khartoum

Khartoum International Airport is located close to the city in Al-Amarat about 4 km away from the city of Khartoum.

It is possible to get a taxi to the Khartoum International Airport, although you may need the help of your hotel to book a taxi and negotiate a reasonable fare. You can take a public bus to Khartoum International Airport, however be prepared for a walk of some 200m from the drop-off point to the terminal. Though a minibus is the most convenient way to get to the airport, you can also try the new microbuses that are more comfortable but have less frequent services. There is no train to Khartoum International airport.
