Madeira Airport (FNC), also known as Funchal Airport, is located in Santa Catarina and provides domestic and international flight services to the entire island of Madeira. The airport has a single terminal and travellers have the option of walking to the terminal from car parks and drop-off points or taking a shuttle bus. Information desks, travel agencies, banks and foreign exchanges and rent-a-car services are all available for your convenience. Visit the airport’s shops and restaurants to help pass the time as you await your flight.

Airport Transportation in Funchal

You can take a bus to Funchal Airport using one of the local SAM buses. The trip takes approximately 40 minutes. Aero-bus also operates a shuttle service that takes about 30 minutes. If you wish to take a taxi to Funchal Airport the trip will take about 30 minutes and prices are fixed according to the destination. If you have rented a car for your Funchal holiday, use Motorway R101 to get from Funchal to the airport (30 minutes). There is no train to Funchal Airport.
